Saturday May 20th, 2006, I received my Bachelor's of Arts & Sciences degree! My first round of resumes will go off to record companies. But of course if you know of a good place where I can start a new career, please let me know! hotdjdwray@hotmail.com
Saturday, May 15th 2004, I received my A.A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice! This degree is an emphasis on Loss Prevention and Asset Control, which should correlate well to my current studies in computer networking and network security. It also reinforces my experience as an Air Force Security Specialist back in the 80's.
Monday August 30th 2004 thru Thursday September 2nd 2004 I attended the DJ Times DJ Convention in Atlantic City! As good as I am, I learned even more about crowd interaction, production, music, equipment, and lights. I hope and expect to incorporate some of these ideas into my shows and company ever strengthening my status as the best Disc Jockey Service in the region!
Tuesday, August 20th 2005, I received my A.A.S. Degree in "Information Technology"! Now when I finally get my DJ Computer filled with my vast music library, I will probably be the only DJ around using a computer who actually has a degree in Computers!!
Sunday June 26th through Wednesday June 29th, I attended the Mobile Beat DJ Convention, this one was in Niagara Falls. Thanks to all of those who have supported me in my endeavors and dreams!
Friday June 17th, 2005 - The New Springfield Relay For Life! I provided and ran the sound for the The "Noltkamper Polka Band", "Classic Cruisers", and "The Causeway Band", who entertained the walkers that evening, 7:30 PM to almost Midnight, at the New Springfield H.S. Stadium. A big thanks to Rockin' Rick for coming out with me and being a huge help that night!
HOT DJ Derrick Wray played for the "Angels For Animals" Fun-Run & Walk Fundraiser @ The Canfield Fairgrounds on Sunday, April 24th, 2005! Unfortunately it snowed all night, which hindered the participation somewhat. Fortunately, everyone who came out had a good time playing games for prizes and getting exercise with their dogs. The American Heart Association
HOT DJ Derrick Wray will be playing for the local Chapter of The AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION's "Heart Walk" at Y.S.U. AGAIN this year! It is on Saturday, Sept. 17th, 2005. We will be starting around 10 AM and going to at least noon and probably til almost 1 PM. Saturday September 13th, 2003:
Yes, HOT DJ Derrick Wray provided the P.A. and music for the Heartwalk, after a slight delay (the power lines to the field had a short!) But the grounds crew at Y.S.U. did a great job in hustling up a generator and away we went. And so did the walkers as the American Heart Association surpassed their goal for the day! Congratulations!
HOT DJ Derrick Wray again provided the sound and lights for the 2006 fashion show at the Avalon Inn. The show had to be put together rather quickly this year, but the show went very well due to the professional's who were involved. This was in spite of the limited time and all of the things can go wrong with a show of this magnitude. Here's the link to the Animal Welfare League in Trumbull County.
Sunday November 7th, 2004 Their annual fashion show in conjunction with the Eastwood Mall at the Avalon Inn. This years theme was "Winter Fantasy".

*The city with zip! Newton Falls has invited Blazing Entertainments' HOT DJ Derrick Wray and Atsui Karaoke to perform at the 4th of July festival.
*Look for ATSUI KARAOKE 2:30 to 6:30 P.M. and HOT DJ Derrick Wray with his HUGE LIGHT SHOW 7:30 to 11:30. Derrick will also perform especially meaningful Patriotic Music during Newton Falls' spectacular fireworks display!

Once again we had a great time with the singers all afternoon and played a lot of requests that evening. We did use our full sound system including the new Horn Sound System, which was louder and cleaner than even our expectations! I do believe that we now have the biggest and best sound of any DJ Service in the region, if not the country! So now we are #1!

We had a great time with the singers all afternoon and played a ton of requests that evening. This is the largest crowd that we have ever played for, with nearly 50,000 people showing up during the fireworks display! Of course we used our full sound system which is now rated as one of the two top DJ sound systems in the region! We are looking forward to going back again next year with even more sound reinforcement to ensure that we are #1!
UPDATES
2004: Due to the overwhelming response to our shows in the past, we were asked to do Karaoke both nights! Once again the fairgoers filled the tent and filled our ears with their vocal talents. My thanks to everyone who came out and made it a fun and exciting night!
Epilogue 2004
Friday was the nicest day of the Fair and we had plenty of singers. The weather threatened us all day Saturday, but never dampened our spirits or show! The tent was mostly full of Karaoke fans and we had a steady stream of singers once again! We also put a basic little light show together and displayed our new banner. Thanks to everyone who came out and watched, sang, or helped! Looking forward to seeing you again next year!
2003: It may have been a little muddy this year, but everybody enjoyed hearing their requests on our New Killer Horn Sound System Friday night. We still had a steady stream of singers for Karaoke Saturday night, despite the weather. The Fair even hired me to announce the Demolition Derby on Wednesday night for a Grandstand full of people! My thanks to the Trumbull County Fair and their staff for continuing to have me back every year where I can showcase my talents and services for the general public here in the local area.
